A few weeks ago, Motorola debuted the new Moto Razr and as the previous rumours suggested, it has a folding display. But that's not the only exciting feature the new Moto Razr has. The new 2019 Razr brings back the classic flip phone form factor from the last decade and merges it with the modern generation Android-powered smartphones of today. And yes, it even retains the iconic Razr's design from 2004.

The new Moto Razr is currently the most expensive smartphone Motorola makes and that's due to the presence of a folding display. In the US, the new Razr will set you back by $1,500, which roughly translates to Rs 1.10 lakhs in Indian Rupees. However, Motorola will be officially selling the phone in India and so far we know nothing about the launch date or the price of the phone.

However, since it's coming to India, many of you may be interested in buying it and before you do so, here are a couple of things to know about the new Moto Razr.

Moto Razr Display:

The new Razr is all about how it manages the display to achieve the flip phone form factor. The main display on the new Razr measures 6.3-inches and has a resolution of 2142 x 876 resolution. The display uses a plastic OLED screen that folds from the middle. The display has an aspect ratio of 21:9 but there's a small notch on the top housing the selfie camera.

There's also another Quick View display on the outside meat to show notifications, interact with calls, shoot photos, control music and more. This display measures 2.7-inches with 600 x 800-pixel resolution.

The Moto Razr is relying on a rather midrange Snapdragon 710 chipset for running the errands. That's paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage as standard. Motorola is offering the new Razr with a stock Android 9 Pie interface with Moto Actions built-in. Compared to the Samsung Fold, the Razr is definitely inferior but Motorola says users should expect smooth everyday performance.

To keep the phone alive, Motorola has stuffed in a 2510mAh battery with support 15W TurboPower fast-charging system.

There are only two cameras on the new Razr. At the back, there's a 16-megapixel single camera with F1.7 lens. When folded, this camera can be used to take selfies as well. On the inside, there's a regular 5-megapixel camera as well for taking selfies.

Pricing in India:

The new Motorola Razr will come to India but will be available as an import. And with that being the case, the new Razr could cost almost add close to Rs 30,000 in taxes and duties, thereby bring up the price of the new Razr to Rs 1.4 lakhs. However, this is just speculation for now.
