Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral at the Statue of Unity on the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Gujarat. He paid tribute to the freedom icon at the Statue of Unity which he introduced a year ago and drove the people present at the fantastic occasion in taking a vow.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Union Home Minister Amit Shah additionally paid tribute to Sardar Patel in Delhi.
