Two More COVID-19 Cases Reported In Jajpur

Five new cases were reported, taking the total number of cases to 47 in the district. Jajpur district is now having the highest 46 active cases followed by 17 in Balasore and 16 active cases in Khurda district.

As per the latest data of the Health and Family Welfare department, Jajpur district reported two more COVD-19 cases on Saturday. Both the COVID-19 patients are from Bari block (48-year-old male and 55-year-old male) and they are Kolkata returnees.  Health officials said both the patients are asymptomatic and are in quarantine.

Earlier, five new cases were reported, taking the total number of cases to 47 in the district. Jajpur district is now having the highest 46 active cases followed by 17 in Balasore and 16 active cases in Khurda district.

Odisha government’s Health and Family Welfare department has issued an order stating that private hospitals and clinics cannot deny essential critical services to patients.  All hospitals/ clinics (especially those in private sectors) remain functional and ensure that anyone needing any essential critical services including dialysis, blood transfusion, chemotherapy, and institutional deliveries are not denied such services.
As per the data shared by Odisha Health and Family Welfare department, all the four COVID-19 patients (no 133 to 136), including a 60-year-old person of Jajpur district, are neighbors of patient no 96 & 98 who had a travel history to Kolkata.
